Owner Daisuke Nakazawa, of famed Michelin-starred Sushi Nakazawa, started his career at the age of 19 in Tokyo. He moved to the U.S. when he was 34 years old, opening Sushi Nakazawa NY in 2013 and Sushi Nakazawa DC in 2018
Executive Chef/ Owner Hitoshi "Jin" Fujita began working in sushi restaurants in Tokyo at the age of 16. He was formerly the head sushi chef at Sushi Den NYC for over 10 years, and sous chef of Sushi Nakazawa NYC for 6 years.
Head Chef Daniel Tun Win moved to the U.S. from Myanmar in 2010. His restaurant career first started in 2011 at Inakaya NY, before moving on to work with Chef Jin for 4 years, where he learned his sushi and Japanese cooking techniques.
